module of the course
The teachers of the intensive course are experienced teachers and tutors of IB DP Russian A: Literature who work both in-person and remotely. They are authors of study guides and online-courses which combine individual approach and valuable group work.
We help students of International Baccalaureate schools who want to take Russian A exams to learn how to read and understand any texts, primarily, those of fiction and publicistic.

At our lessons we will explain how to analyze the structure of a literature work and interpret the author's choice of emphatic devices. In the course of our work, we also do exercises the aim of which is to improve our students' academic writing.
Usually, students who study literature with a tutor in their mother tongue are deprived of most important components of the IB DP program such as live discussion of the studied books in class. Working in a group is not only informal interpersonal communication and share the opinions, it also offers a possibility to students to borrow from their classmates effective strategies of oral and written speech. We designed this intensive course to create space for a joint productive cooperation of IB DP Russian-speaking students and a site for a serious and useful discussion about literature.

The classes gave me a fresh look at Russian literature. During the time I was in the IB program, Russian A: Literature was my favorite subject. Even years after graduation, I get carried away with a deeper analysis of the works and recall the techniques I learned during my school years.
Thank you so much for preparing Mark for the IB exam! It's incredible to achieve such a result in such a short time. He received a high rating not only in Russian, but also in English, applying what you taught him.
